Visited Malabar House on the occasion of Women’s Day and it turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant serves authentic Kerala cuisine at very reasonable prices. We ordered Parotta with Chicken Curry, Kappa, Mullagu Meenu, Chicken Fry, and Malabar Biryani. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. The standout dishes were the Malabar Biryani, Mullagu Meenu Curry, and Chicken Fry – they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic Kerala flavors. The ambiance is nice and the place is clean and comfortable for dining. If you enjoy authentic Kerala food, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommended! Brilliant food! The thali was awesome and sonwas the Kizhi paratha chicken in banana leaf. The buttermilk was also super tasty. Will go again, and again, and recommend friends as well. Malabar House in Thane is a wonderful place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine. The food here was excellent and truly stood out for its traditional Malabar flavors. Every dish we tried was well-prepared, fresh, and tasted very close to homemade Kerala food. The quality of ingredients and the authenticity of the recipes were clearly evident, making the dining experience very satisfying. The service, while slightly slow, was understandable. It was a Sunday, and there was only one person managing around 8–9 tables. What deserves special mention is that the same person taking orders and serving was actually the owner himself. Despite being stretched thin, he was polite, attentive, and made a sincere effort to ensure everyone was comfortable. The delay was not due to lack of intent, but simply because of limited manpower during peak hours. Even with this minor constraint, the overall experience was quite pleasant. The warm, homely food and the owner’s personal involvement added a nice touch to the visit. It’s the kind of place where you feel the passion behind the kitchen rather than a commercial setup. Overall, Malabar House delivers excellent food and an honest dining experience. I will definitely look forward to visiting again and making this a frequent stop whenever I crave authentic Kerala cuisine.
