Mainland China in Chennai is a great place for authentic Chinese cuisine. The ambience is pleasant and the staff are courteous and ready to help. The restaurant manager, Mr Rana Mitra, is an excellent host and provides helpful suggestions on what to order depending on one's taste. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The dishes that stand out are the eight treasure seafood & chicken lung fung soup, prawn hargao, hunan chicken, king prawns in chilli sauce, veg fried rice, chicken hakka noodles, drums of heaven (chilli plum sauce) and date palm ice cream. The staff, especially Mr Jayanta, Suman and Tarak, provide great service with a smile. The restaurant also offers complimentary drinks and desserts, making it a great value for money. In all, Mainland China is a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with family and friends.

Went to this place today. The AC was not working and they wanted us to sit in the hot space and have food. And we had our daughter 2 years old us. They were not Ready to serve food at the tables in the front which had little better AC for no reasons. They are rude. No one took the initiative to even talk to us about it. Hope they understand they are not serving us free food. Easily one of the worst experience in Chennai.

I usually come at the Mainland China , Teynampet because my kids love to have the lunch buffet here. The service is great and we just love our kids enjoying the starters. They literally fill themselves to the brim. So visiting Mainland China Teynampet has become customary for any family occasion. Keep up the ambience and the taste of the food, we will keeo coming back.
