I don't know what is the hype for. Neither there is hygiene nor there is taste. I went there yesterday post all the reviews I saw on Google and ordered a surmai thali. Place: Dingy, not very well lit, fans barely moving, tables not very clean. Asbestos ceiling and that too wasn't cleaning. There was some foul smell coming off the kitchen when the fish was being fried. Food: Rs 550 for 2 rice bhakri, some oily rassa with a small piece of fish, soulkadi in a small vati, a small fried fish with a thick layer of rava. Some rice and a small piece of onion. Service: Orders are prepared and served randomly and not in the sequence of how one had placed the order. Definitely can skip this place for food, hygiene, taste. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I recently tried the food at this place and had a good experience overall. The food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the Mutton Handi Family Pack which cost around ₹1000 and had about 20 small pieces—worth it for the taste. We also had rice bhakri, which was soft and flavorful. Along with that, we ordered plain rice, papad, and green salad, all of which were fresh and satisfying. The only item I didn’t enjoy much was the Surmai Rawa Fry—it could have been better. Overall, it’s a good place to eat if you're in Lonavla and looking for a nice, local food experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If you're in Lonavla and love seafood, Mahesh Masoli is a must-visit! This low-key place is a hidden gem—don’t judge it by its looks because the food here is seriously amazing. We tried the Bombil (Bombay Duck) fry and prawns fry, and both were absolutely delicious—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The spices were just perfect, and you could tell the seafood was fresh. The place may not look fancy, but the food speaks for itself. Highly recommend for seafood lovers!
