The ‘Drunk Punjabi’ Affair.

Have you ever had dinner at 4 AM and have been pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of food being served? Usually such 24/7 places cater to drunk crowd and maintaining quality service is not at the top of priority list.
But little did I know, somewhere in goa in the middle of the night I will have some phenomenal North Indian food in this 24/7 restauraunt Mehak E Punjab. For those restaurants struggling with staff and failing to provide service go here on the middle of the night to see. Fully awake and functional staff providing quality service at a reasonable cost. No bullshit and no fancy promises the place gives you some lip smacking curries and naan at a feasible pricing.
We ordered the crowd favourite, the butter chicken, the naan and the Shrimp Biryan...huge portions and amazing quality and easy on tummy, as well as your pocket. Served with the usual complementary platter of nimbu, fresh onions and mirchi. If this lip-smacking meal doesn’t bring you back to your senses you may want to check on your cheap thrills.
Menu is extensive and doesn’t limit itself to easy to cook food. Service is superb, with smiling and attentive staff. Food was fresh, waiting time was justified and if you give them tips to adjust the spice levels they would do the needful but warn you the authenticity of dish will be impacted. Ambience is pleasant ( not very fancy) and place is clean. We spotted families as well here - all is good.
Location is in the party zone of Goa, so late night be aware of drunk drivers, flying hormones, loose women/man, collapsing teenagers, greedy policewalas and drug peddlers. But, as they say it is Goa and it is safe.
Food is an experience, share it, don’t rate it.
