This restaurant treats you like a royal, serving all-you-can-eat pure vegetarian thali service which develops as the meal progresses - very high-quality customer service. It's all generally Rajasthani cuisine with some Gujarati and Punjabi options too, and the thalis are so well-composed and balanced. Maybe the top restaurant in Nanded, and I highly recommend to any tourists wanting to experience western Indian cuisine at its most luxurious yet very good price-wise (only around £3 each ). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Vegetarian options: Rajasthan is India's most vegetarian state statistically, so their cuisine includes a great vegetarian array. I remember visiting Madhur Bhoj once during my school days. I don’t remember exactly why I went, but I clearly remember that the food was simple, tasty, and filling. Recently, I came across the place again and decided to try it. I’m really glad I did. As soon as I sat down, they offered the "Ultimate Thali" which costs ₹320 and is unlimited. There was no menu — they just started serving, and in a few minutes, my plate was full of different dishes. Starters – Dal Baati with Ghee The meal started with Dal Baati served with ghee. The baati was crispy outside and soft inside. The dal was warm and comforting — not too spicy, just right. Pouring ghee on top made it even better. It reminded me of homemade food and was a great way to begin the meal. Main Dishes They served many different vegetable dishes, and each one had its own taste: Paneer Gravy – Soft paneer pieces in a mild curry. Simple and tasty. Chana Masala – Well-cooked chickpeas in a balanced masala. Baingan Masala – I normally don’t eat brinjal, but this one was delicious. Plain Dal – Light and perfect with roti or rice. Potato Gravy – Classic and comforting. They also gave some nice sides: Cut beetroot and cucumber – Fresh and cooling. Moong Bhaje – Small fried snacks made of moong dal, crispy and not too oily. Roti with Ghee – Served hot and soft. Fried Papad – Crunchy and adds a good texture. Cold Buttermilk – Very refreshing and helped balance the meal. Rice or Khichdi After the sabzis, they asked if I wanted plain rice or moong dal khichdi. I chose khichdi — it was soft, full of ghee, and felt just like home. Very comforting and tasty. Sweets They served two sweets at the end: Gulab Jamun – Warm, soft, and perfectly sweet. Custard-like Dessert – Cold and smooth, a light and tasty finish. Both were very good and made the meal feel complete. ‍ Service and Ambience The place is simple and clean. Nothing fancy, but the focus is clearly on the food. The service is fast — they keep checking if you want more, and everything was served hot and fresh. The staff is polite and helpful. Food Changes Daily From what I noticed, the items in the thali change every day. So you might not get the same dishes every time. I think this is a good thing because it keeps the experience new and exciting on each visit. Final Thoughts For just ₹320, this unlimited thali is totally worth it. The food is fresh, not too oily, and tastes just like something you’d have at home. It’s simple, satisfying, and full of flavor. I’m happy I visited again after all these years. The food was just as good as I remembered — maybe even better. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy traditional Indian food with fast service and great taste, Madhur Bhoj is the place to go. I’ll definitely visit again soon. If you haven’t been yet, give it a try — you won’t be disappointed.
