It’s one of those rare spots that perfectly balances a laid-back, soulful atmosphere with food that actually lives up to the hype. The Food Experience. The menu is a delightful fusion, but the Israeli and Italian dishes are the real stars here. We tried the Shakshuka and the wood-fired pizza; both were bursting with fresh flavors. The hummus is incredibly creamy—easily some of the best in town. My recent visit to Madam D'Souza was an absolute disaster. The service was horrendous, the order took ages to arrive, and the food was far from fresh. It's safe to say that I won't be returning. Service was abysmal. The staff appeared uninterested and impolite, with no regard for customers. Trying to get information about my order's status was an exercise in frustration, met with indifferent replies. The order delay was mind-boggling. Despite the cafe's lack of customers, my food took an eternity to reach the table. I was left hungry and bewildered by the inexplicable delay. When the meal finally arrived, it was clear that it had been sitting out for a while. The food was lukewarm and lacked the expected freshness. Presentation was lackluster, and the taste was compromised. My overall experience at Madam D'Souza was extremely disappointing. The poor service, coupled with the agonizing order delay and the unfresh meal, made for an awful outing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this cafe altogether.
