Returning to Kolkata while passing by Sreerampore Mukherjee’s and stopping to have dine out there was no doubt a fantastic decision made. What a vintage ambience. Perfect dinning, lovely food both in terms of quality and quantity added to some great experience. Must try dish golden fish fry(vetki). One of the best restaurant in serampore area. As a student also I had visited the restaurant once, long back, and the charm still remain strong. The ethnic settings, mouth watering fish fry, finger licking biriyani with chicken chap makes the circle complete. Still parking is a big issue. Being located in a very busy junction, it is not possible to park vehicles near the restaurant. Being one of the most hyped restaurants in Serampore currently, I along with my family decided to experience their delicacies and feel whether the hype is at all justified or not. But honestly I would neither go again nor recommend anyone else. The quality and quantity they are providing OMG !!! It's definitely not at all worth the price they are charging. Diamond fish fry!!! Seriously??? I would rather call it a tall fish finger. And now coming to their star dish The Mutton Biriyani !!! The piece was mid sized that to the size varied from plate to plate. And the rice serving is so less in portion. And while serving biriyani one need to make sure that the rice are from all the layers making it a good flavourful palte. Mine plate had all the white and dry rice while my mum's plate had all the moist and masala one. We among ourselves mixed it up and had it !!!! A 360/- plate biriyani giving experience like this !!! After that we thought maybe phirni would be a good end to the day but another disaster it turned out to be !!! Anyone who has tasted Arsalan, Royal India would never ever go with the flow and drool over Mukherjee's Restaurant. I really couldn't figure out the justified reason for which they are charging the amounts, is it for the ambience or the hype which is among the people here ??? Because food is not at all worthy being charged these amounts. It's just the brand name and unlimited vlogger's collaboration which is helping them keep going !!! I would rather suggest the people of Serampore not to waste money here, rather go to any street side biriyani place there the taste atleast will justify the amount!!! Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
