We booked MJ Funcity Waterpark & Resort for my niece’s wedding and stayed at the property for 3 days. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful for both the bride and our entire family. During the planning phase itself, the assigned coordinator repeatedly spoke about internal conflicts with the owner and even suggested changing the venue due to lack of management support. Since a significant amount had already been paid and the wedding date was close, changing the venue was not possible. All requirements were clearly communicated well in advance to avoid last-minute issues — yet many commitments were still not fulfilled. On the wedding day, several promised arrangements were missing. One major example was the colour-shot entry during the Jaimala, which had been discussed multiple times with both the coordinator and the owner. Shockingly, this was denied later, leaving the bride and family helpless at a crucial moment. Despite charging premium prices, room facilities were highly inadequate. Several rooms lacked basic amenities or had non-functional equipment. Housekeeping and service response were extremely slow — even simple requests took hours. Food service was another major failure. On the final day, stale food was served to guests, causing serious embarrassment to the family. What was most disturbing was the post-event behavior. When genuine feedback was shared through reviews, the owner reacted with aggressive and abusive phone calls to family members and even harassed the photographer, instead of addressing the concerns professionally. This conduct was completely unacceptable. The only positives about this property are the natural location and décor setup. However, good aesthetics cannot compensate for poor management, broken promises, slow service, and unprofessional behavior. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Sadly, this venue added stress instead of support. I strongly advise future couples and families to think very carefully before booking this resort for weddings or large events. Edit / Clarification: I would like to clarify that this review is based entirely on what I personally witnessed while staying at MJ Funcity Waterpark & Resort for the full duration of the wedding events. It is shared in good faith to reflect the actual experience faced by our family. It has become evident that this is a coordinated attempt to malign our brand's reputation following a legal dispute over unpaid dues. ​1. Regarding Coordination & Internal Conflicts: The claims regarding our coordinator and management are completely fabricated. All event details and requirements were finalized in written and signed contracts. We do not operate on verbal hearsay. Any internal staff matters are handled professionally and have no bearing on the high-quality service we provide to our guests. ​2. Allegations on Food & Service: We maintain a strict record of all food preparations. The 'stale food' allegation is a common tactic used here to justify the non-payment of the final bill. Our records show that the event was completed with full cooperation, and these 'complaints' only surfaced when we demanded the pending payment. ​3. Misconduct & Intoxication: We have documented proof and eyewitness accounts of your invited vendors, specifically the photographer, being in an intoxicated state and behaving abusively toward our staff. We prioritize the safety and dignity of our employees and will not tolerate such behavior from any guest or their vendors. ​4. Strict Legal Action & Naming Parties: We are not taking these fake allegations lightly. We are currently identifying every individual—including you—who is posting these defamatory and baseless reviews to hide a financial default. ​BE ADVISED: Our legal team is preparing Formal Legal Notices which will be issued individually by name to every person involved in this coordinated smear campaign. We will be filing for Criminal Defamation and Recovery of Dues. We have preserved all CCTV footage, signed approval papers, and billing records to present in court. ​We suggest you settle the outstanding payment and remove this defamatory content immediately to avoid a prolonged legal battle.

I attended my friend’s wedding at this property, and unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Considering the amount they charge, the food arrangements were far below expectations and did not justify the price at all. The rooms were heavily overpriced and lacked basic amenities such as a heater, kettle, geyser, and other essential facilities. In a few rooms where these amenities were available, they were not functioning properly. Shockingly, even the most expensive room did not have working basic facilities. The staff’s behavior added to the frustration. They were careless, unresponsive, and very slow in handling even simple requests. Basic things like providing a towel or serving a cup of tea took nearly two hours. Several commitments made at the time of booking regarding décor and food arrangements were also not honored. On the final day of the wedding, guests were served stale and spoiled food during dinner, which was completely unacceptable. When the issue was raised, the staff initially refused to acknowledge their mistake, and the matter escalated unnecessarily. It was only after multiple relatives and guests intervened and complained that they agreed to change the menu. Even then, there was no proper apology or accountability from their side. Ashu and Junaid, who were representing the venue, failed to handle the situation responsibly and did not provide the support expected at such an important event. The only redeeming factors of the property were its location and the decoration. However, enduring so much inconvenience just for a good location and décor is simply not worth it. I would not recommend this venue unless there is a significant improvement in management and service standards. Service: 1

We are compelled to respond to this review to set the record straight, as it contains several false and malicious allegations intended to damage our reputation following a serious payment dispute. ​1. Formal Approvals & Signed Documentation: > This booking was not made 'blindly.' Every aspect of this event, including the menu, decor, and room arrangements, was finalized only after the client’s thorough inspection. We have signed documentation and written approvals for all services rendered. The claim of 'broken promises' is factually incorrect as we delivered exactly what was agreed upon in the written contract. ​2. Food Quality & Testing: > We take food hygiene very seriously. While we always encourage clients to conduct a pre-event food tasting, the client in this case chose not to do so, despite our offers. To allege that 'stale food' was served is a baseless attempt to create a 'hungama' to avoid settling the final bill. Our kitchen maintains strict standards, and no such issues were reported by other guests or recorded in our quality logs for that day. ​3. Professional Misconduct & Alcohol: > We do not tolerate the mistreatment of our staff. During the event, your hired photographer and certain guests were found to be under the influence of alcohol and engaged in highly unprofessional and abusive behavior toward our service team. It is disappointing that instead of addressing your team's misconduct, you are targeting our hardworking staff. ​4. Outstanding Payment & Legal Action: > The timing of these coordinated negative reviews is not a coincidence. It is a direct reaction to our demand for the pending final payment, which remains unpaid to this day. We will not be intimidated by 'review-blackmail' tactics used to escape financial obligations. ​Conclusion: > We are now initiating strict legal proceedings against the booking party and everyone involved in this smear campaign. A formal legal notice for Defamation (Libel) and Recovery of Dues is being dispatched. We have preserved all CCTV footage, signed contracts, and payment records as evidence for the court. We advise you to settle the outstanding dues and remove these defamatory statements immediately to avoid further legal complications
