We actually landed here after a quick Google search for a nearby veg restaurant. The reviews looked promising, so we decided to give Maurya Veg a try for dinner. The place was quite packed when we arrived, and we had to wait around five minutes outside before getting a table, which itself suggested the restaurant is fairly popular. We started with soup, which was good and comforting. The Baby Corn Manchurian really stood out, well-cooked, nicely flavoured, and easily the highlight of the meal. The Paneer Malai Tikka was also good, soft and tasty. Credit where it’s due: the starters arrived pretty quickly after ordering. For the main course, we ordered Rumali Roti, Roti, Dal Tadka, and Paneer Butter Masala. The gravies were good and satisfying, especially the Paneer Butter Masala. However, the rotis were a letdown, they felt undercooked and didn’t match the quality of the gravies. We later ordered Palak Khichdi, which was decent but nothing exceptional. Overall, I really liked the starters and the gravies. The rotis, unfortunately, didn’t live up to the mark. I’d definitely visit again to try other dishes, but I’d probably skip ordering rotis next time.
