The name drove me in, plus the fact I was hungry and tired after a 7-hour journey. What can possibly go wrong with a name like Maska Chaska? It's in a nice location on Rishikesh's main drag, the building where it's located has a good facade, the signage is difficult to miss. Well, it's a poorly run restaurant poorly designed, and other than one table overlooking the neighbouring garden, has no views. For all that, the food was still good, though poorly presented. The cold coffee I ordered as an aperitif was nice and so was the dal, the raita and the post-lunch chai. One of the parathas was charred, they served it anyway, hidden under a good one in the roti basket. That's a bit insensitive, isn't it! I had to eat a lot of dirty food, the chaumin rules were burnt and there was lot of sugar in the cold coffee even though I had told the strong person to have coffee and the sandwich had no taste at all 0
