Went with my family to Low & Slow after all the hype that has been created but was very disappointed overall with the food. I fail to understand how a BBQ meal can be served within 5 mins of the order being given and turn up pretty cold on the plate....my guess just microwaved pre cooked food and served. The flavors were non existent on the meat apart from the smoked flavour overpowering the meat but no marination on the meat, very bland and the same BBQ sauce being served with all the meats which was also very inconsistent in flavour and texture. The salads we ordered were very stale and how can u get a Caesars salad wrong? The prawns and fish (tasted frozen and stale) were very disappointing as the crusts were burnt and all u got was a burnt taste from the panko crust. The prawns on the salad had tails in the middle part of the body (too long and explanation to give on that) and the jumbo prawns were just normal Rs600 per kg prawns also burnt to the crust with no flavor. Now let's get down to a simple ice cream desert which usually is not cooked in the restaurant and bought ready made (correct me if I am wrong) but it tasted like a stale refrigerator as my guess is that the ice cream box had been sitting open in the refrigerator exposed to meats and fish for a long time and hence tasted like that, absolutely horrible. That summed up the dinner that we had. Would advise the owner to serve freshly cooked food even if it take a bit longer as people are willing to wait for good fresh flavors. Also please just dont rely on just the smoked flavour as any meat needs good marinating and a good variety of sauces served separately to compliment the smoky flavour. Well hope you take this as constructive criticism as goa needs a good BBQ place that serves it the right way with the right flavours and freshness and hope that can be you with a few corrections. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.We’d like to clarify a few points about how a smokehouse operates. In traditional BBQ smokehouses, meats are slow-smoked for many hours and then **hot-held** so they can be served quickly once ordered. This is standard practice in many well-known smokehouses across the United States, which is where this style of BBQ originates. Being served within a few minutes is actually typical for authentic smokehouse service and does not mean food is microwaved.What surprised us about your review is that during your visit our team checked in with you and asked how your meal was, and at the time you mentioned that everything was very good. You also finished the salads completely, which made us believe you were enjoying your meal.That said, we always appreciate feedback and are constantly working to improve. However, our smokehouse style and flavor profile may simply not be to everyone’s taste, and that’s perfectly okay.We genuinely wish you the best in finding a BBQ place that better suits your preferences.
