However, my recent visit was marred by a disappointing service dynamic that is hard to ignore. The Atmosphere & Food:. The bohemian decor and the panoramic view of the Ganges are world-class. The food—particularly the wood-fired pizzas and the Malai Kofta—was flavorful and well-presented. It is easy to see why this remains a 'must-visit' spot for travelers. The Service Disparity (The Core Issue):. Unfortunately, there is a palpable hierarchy in how guests are treated. It was disheartening to observe the staff being overtly attentive, warm, and prompt with international tourists, while Indian patrons were met with indifference. We were left waiting for a menu for nearly fifteen minutes while tables around us—occupied by foreign guests who arrived later—were attended to immediately. When we finally managed to catch a server's attention, the interaction felt transactional and hurried, lacking the hospitality one expects from such a renowned establishment. Feeling like a 'second-class guest' in your own country is an unpleasant experience that no amount of good food can fully compensate for. Verdict:.
