With the rise of new food delivery platforms, ordering food at your doorstep has become simpler than ever before. I was on the lookout for some south indian breakfast through Dunzo and that's when I came across Little Bites. Immediately referred to Zomato to learn about them, which honestly looked pretty average but I decided to give them a try. At a price of 49rs/- inclusive of service fees and taxes for a Masala Dosa, looked like a steal deal to me, so I overlooked on all the apprehensions and placed the order.
Delivery time: It took a fairly significant amount of time then what was initially committed. But I'll give them a benefit of doubt with the morning traffic scene around Andheri East.
Food Packaging: Packaging was average, not that I was expecting it to be anything classy at the given price.
Food: Size of the dosa was in line with it's pricing. 2 medium sized portions served along with a fair amount of sambar and coconut chutney.
Coming to the real deal which was the taste, was a let down in my opinion. Starting from the texture of the dosa which was dry, barely any use of butter made it super dry and non edible without the support of sambar or chutney. Use of masala was minimalistic which further increased my disappointment. Potatoes were well cooked and mashed, but on the other hand, green peas were undercooked, there was a large piece of partially cooked green chilly and I just couldn't get the taste the onions at all, which is a vital element of the potato mix.
Sambar was watery and tasted more like a red color dal with pumpkins and curry leaves.
The only real highlight in taste and the saviour as I would say, was the coconut chutney. While it wasn't the best of the one's that I've had, but it surely added some value to the mundane dosa.
Given the fact of receiving food at such an economical price could be the only motivation for someone to order from Little Bites. Besides that, they miserably failed to leave a striking impression in my mind.
