Lhasa Newar is hands down one of the best places for Himalayan food we experienced. Out of all the restaurants we hopped through in Sikkim, this one truly stood out. Their Newari and Tibetan thalis actually felt like real soul food—sumptuous, filling, and incredibly heart-warming. Every bite was comforting and satisfying, the kind of meal that stays with you. For a first experience, it has set my expectations very high for Himalayan cuisine going forward. Located at Tree of Life in Gangtok, Sikkim, the setting makes the experience even more special. We felt lucky to have secured a booking here, as the property itself is peaceful and beautifully done, perfectly complementing the food. A memorable dining experience from start to finish — highly recommended.

Perfect place to visit when in gangtok. Making wood fire pizza was the best experience. Special mention for chedup. He was a good host and did help us alot with routes, cabs and places to be visited.
