Leopold Cafe is a popular eatery in South Bombay, with an interesting history and a vibrant atmosphere. The cafe has been around since 1871 and gained notoriety after the 2008 terrorist attack, which left bullet holes still visible on the walls of the restaurant. The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes, with items ranging from sandwiches and pizzas to international cuisines like Italian and Chinese. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The desserts are especially good, and visitors should make sure to try the Tiramisu cake. For those looking for a unique experience, Leopold Cafe is a great choice. The rustic charm and ambience, coupled with the historical significance, make it a must-visit destination in Mumbai.

Leopold Café and bar is located in one of the busiest streets of Mumbai popularly known as ‘Colaba Causeway’. The café gained its fame with Gregory Robert's book, Shantaram. This place is usually crowded with foreigners. The café exhibits great ambience with numerous vintage classic movie posters. You can spend hours over pitchers of beers once you get a table, but that is not easy. You’ll mostly find a wait time. There is a smaller, dimly-lit, air-conditioned section upstairs. Talking about the food, Leopold serves an amalgamation of culture in the food menu which caters to the palate of the visitors as well as the locals. The price range is expensive but definitely worth a try for the overall experience. Standing strong after the bullet shot and violence after 26/11, which has left mark on the walls and pillars. Hats off to the courage and bravery of the cafe management. They also sell souvenirs like mugs and tees.
Leopold café and bar is a must visit place in Mumbai for an overall experience in terms of great ambience and food. This is place gets pretty busy during the weekend. This place definitely speaks about the glory of Mumbai.
