Lazy Fish is celebrated as a cozy, family-run eatery that specializes in serving truly authentic, home-cooked Goan seafood, which is the core reason it earns high marks. I visited and ordered the Fish Thali—my first time ever trying one! The food, which turned out to be the delicious King Fish Thali, was absolutely excellent. However, a crucial issue occurred at billing time when I realized I had been served the higher-priced King Fish variety without my explicit order, which is a significant price difference. Since the food quality was high, I didn't complain, but this highlights a need for better communication: staff should clearly confirm the specific order, especially since customers may be first-timers and unfamiliar with all the menu options. Despite the confusion over the thali type, the restaurant is definitely worth visiting for the quality and genuine taste of its seafood, but visitors should be explicit about the exact fish they want in their thali to prevent any pricing surprises. Lazy Fish Restaurant in Baga is one of those rare finds that truly deliver on authenticity and flavor. As a food blogger constantly in search of local gems, this place absolutely won me over! The vibe is relaxed, and the homely touch to the food is unmistakable—probably because the chef is also the owner and a passionate home cook. You can really feel that love in every bite. I tried their Prawn Fish Thali and Chonak Fish Thali—both were absolutely delicious and loaded with traditional Goan elements. The thalis were generous and well-balanced. The Mussels Rava Fry and Squid Rava Fry were crispy, fresh, and full of coastal flavors. But the star for me was the Crab Sukha—a rich, spiced dish that left me licking my fingers! The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and it has a peaceful, no-fuss setting. They also have Wi-Fi and high chairs available, making it family-friendly. If you’re in North Goa and craving authentic Goan seafood at honest prices, Lazy Fish is a must-visit. I’m definitely going back!
