I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Lavonne Café, Indiranagar, after the overhyped disappointment that was LICK—only to be let down again. I ordered two French Benedicts, a filter coffee, and pineapple juice. The beverages arrived within 10 minutes, and one of the Benedicts followed 10 minutes later. Even though it took them 20 minutes to prepare, the dish was somehow cold—how does a poached egg even end up cold? The plan was to enjoy the meal together with my partner, but my dish never came out. I waited 45 minutes, repeatedly asking the servers and even the manager about the delay. Every time, I got the same vague response—“just one more minute” or “two minutes”—and then they’d disappear, never following up. The plate looks oddly empty, like they forgot half the dish. For the price and wait time, you’d expect a more generous serving, not just a lonely Benedict and a small salad. The management is far from great. After waiting an hour, I finally gave up and left.
