One of the oldest hotels in Kalpathi, with a history of over 100 years. I tried their Pongal and vadai with chai. The Pongal was excellent, rich in ghee and cashew flavor. Got to taste the roast and filter coffee here. Coffee is outstanding. Have had better roasts elsewhere but this place stands out purely for the vintage and the ever smiling owner cum cook. Kalpathy itself is an experience of its own and Lakshmi coffee is no lesser. Would love to try out the other dishes next time around.
