Areas of Improvement: 1. Unwelcoming Reception Experience The staff member in the red uniform who managed the front desk greeted me on check-in by informing me of my checkout time (11 AM on the 6th day). This was an unusually curt welcome. 2. Overpriced Mini Bar The pricing of items in the mini bar was on the higher side. 3. Malfunctioning Room Features The “Do Not Disturb” and “Make My Room” buttons were not working. The landline phone wire was damaged, making it difficult to use. 4. Room Service Issues I ordered papad via room service but it was never delivered. Upon follow-up, the staff appeared reluctant to fetch it from the kitchen and I ultimately never received it. On a separate note, I had to call three times to get an iron box and a matchbox. 5. Non-functional Gym The gym was not operational, and treadmills were out of order. This was one of the reasons I chose this hotel, so it was disappointing. 6. Crowded Lobby Due to frequent walk-in guests attending hotel events, the lobby was often overcrowded and noisy. 7. Swiggy/Zomato Order Policy Food delivery orders are not brought to the room; guests are required to go down and collect them themselves. 8. Housekeeping Interruptions While attending virtual meetings from the room, I was interrupted twice by housekeeping staff wanting to replace expired mini bar items. 9. Breakfast Replenishment Delay Items like milk and idiyappam were not replenished on time at breakfast. I had to specifically request the staff to do so. 10. Dirty Balcony The balcony was never cleaned. It remained dusty and had bird droppings. 11. Inflexible Food Policy for Children I witnessed a guest request two pieces of poori for their baby who wasn’t eating. The kitchen manager declined to accommodate the request without charging for a full breakfast. 12. Overpowering Fragrance The air freshener used in the lobby and elevators was too intense and unpleasant. Positive Feedback: 1. Polite Housekeeping Team The housekeeping staff were courteous and respectful throughout the stay. 2. Good Breakfast Spread The buffet breakfast was satisfying, particularly the chutneys, sandwiches, and coffee. 3. Efficient Elevator Service The two lifts in operation worked seamlessly and quickly. 4. Balcony Access Each room has an open balcony, which is convenient for guests who smoke. Service: 3

Overall this is a good hotel due to its location, right opposite to Valluvarkottam and walking distance from Chennai US VAC. Food is good. Service is exceptional. Kumaresan helps you with getting your stuff moved right from the entrance to your room. He also has good local knowledge. Jayram at the reception is polite. Overall entire staff is courteous and welcoming. Couple of points this hotel needs improvement. For the price you are paying rooms must be ultra clean, which was not the case. Bedsheets, pillow covers, bathroom towels were not matching the price that one pays for staying. Bathroom was not smelling good, it was not smelling neutral either. These two points were disappointing & hotel management must look into getting this fixed. I probably give myself another chance to stay back here if I travel to Chennai and in the Valluvarkottam area, hoping that above concerns were taken care off by then. Service: 5

Shockingly Unclean & Noisy Stay at Park Elanza Chennai. Room Conditions: * We had two rooms booked and both rooms were booked in advance, but one reeked of smoke and the other had uncleaned toilets. This made for an extremely unpleasant and unsanitary stay. * The rooms were not as advertised and not up to basic cleanliness standards. Noise: * The noisy neighbors were a constant disruption. Their loud partying continued until 4:30 am, making sleep impossible. * The hotel management did nothing to address the noise complaints, despite repeated requests. Customer Service: * The customer service was absolutely abysmal. Our complaints were dismissed and not taken seriously. * The hotel staff seemed uninterested in resolving the issues and offered no solutions. Overall Experience: We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Park Elanza. The unclean rooms, unbearable noise, and unresponsive staff made this one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had.
