Lupa is one of my favorite restaurants. It’s also one of the most popular spaces for wine tastings. The service is always top-notch with some of the best managers and staff in the city, except for last evening. Our server Abhishek kept insisting I pay my bill even though I hadn’t finished ordering. From 8 - 11 pm the server incessantly bothered me to pay up. What should have been a happy and stress-free occasion with the guest being treated with warmth and consideration for their privacy was instead a toxic and disturbing experience with the server aggressively hounding me and brazenly standing behind me waiting for me to pay. Therefore, 1. Constant interruptions not only ruined the mood of the evening, but made the guest feel like a thief. 2. Purposeful false information. Server said last order was at 10 pm, when I checked it was at 11.30 pm. Pasta dish too was billed wrongly citing a difference between Spagetti and Fusilli. I can’t define the server’s behaviour as anything short of dishonesty and mental harassment. 3. The pizza was heavily topped off with salt. We requested to meet the chef who made it. The server said no and made excuses saying it was Parmesan without any appreciation for the fact the guests on the table are well-traveled food connoisseurs and we can tell the difference. We never met the chef to complaint about the pizza. The most humiliating experience was having to hear my friends complaint that they had to pay a bill while eating! The bill comes at the end of the meal, not during it. It’s shameful that a beautiful evening was ruined by an extremely rude and entitled server who shouldn’t be working in an elegant and well-respected restaurant like Lupa that welcomes back a significant percentage of regular guests. I request management to look into this matter in light of the server’s ability to be dishonest and disrespectful to guests. Rest assured in the future I will expressly request the manager not to allow this server to interact with me.

What a perfect blend of flavours. Loved the food, the ambience, the service and vibe of the place. We ordered multiple dishes and all of them were so flavourful, so visually appealing and so well prepared. Good job Lupa! A big shout out to Sunny, who was serving us and Suman who explained the wines to us. The staff is very friendly, attentive and serve with a smile. Thanks guys! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
