I recently visited L’Opéra in Greater Kailash, a café that is known for its premium French-style ambience and beautifully designed interiors. I must admit, the first impression was quite pleasing—the space is elegant, quiet, and gives off a very sophisticated European feel, making it ideal for a relaxed breakfast or a casual coffee with friends. That being said, I was a little underwhelmed with my experience when it came to the food and service. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which I had been looking forward to, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite average. The dish lacked the finesse and flavor I had expected from a place of this reputation and pricing. The hollandaise sauce did not really stand out, and overall, the taste felt flat compared to other cafés I’ve tried in Delhi. The service too was not up to the mark. The staff seemed a little inattentive and not very proactive. For a café that positions itself as premium, I feel service should be warm, attentive, and add to the overall experience, which wasn’t the case here. In summary, while the ambience at L’Opéra GK is certainly a highlight, the food and service need improvement to truly match the brand’s image and the prices charged. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
