Set inside the beautifully restored Bikaner House complex, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating - the former refined and softly lit, the latter surrounded by greenery that feels especially inviting in the early hours. The breakfast experience is where La Opera truly shines. Their French roots are unmistakable: the viennoiseries are excellent - buttery croissants, pain au chocolat, and other flaky pastries that are crafted with precision. Alongside these are fresh breads, quiches, tarts, and light savoury plates, creating a breakfast menu that is thoughtful rather than sprawling. The beverage selection complements this perfectly. Their diverse range of teas, from delicate floral blends to stronger brews, and their rich, well-prepared coffee elevate the entire morning experience. I visited early, before the bustle of the day, and that timing made all the difference. Indoors, the ambience is calm and polished; outdoors, it’s relaxed and airy. While the outdoor section is pleasant, it’s worth noting that some guests do smoke there, not enough to dominate the space during quieter hours, but something that becomes more noticeable as more people arrive.
