Today I went to the shop in Seetaram Bazaar and bought mango kulfi which cost Rs. 250 and it was totally a waste of money ... the mango was not sweet at all and the kulfi was also tasteless, in fact the worker there was talking so rudely, the service was bad and the taste too
Kuremal Mohan Lal Kulfi Wale is a small kulfi outlet at Chawri Bazaar, a 15 minutes walking distance from Jama Masjid Area. They are in business since 1906 and quite good at the art of Kulfi making. Although it is hard to locate the outlet, the payback would be satisfactory once you try their kulfis. But beware, there is another outlet bearing the same initials with "Mahavir Prasad" in it; it is a different outlet. We ordered Rose, Paan and Jamun Kulfi; the former two are milk-based while the latter being fruit syrup based. Each of the kulfis was served hygienically and with a smile, while constantly seeking real-time feedbacks. The Rose Kulfi was exceptional; not only did it look amazing, but it was also giving the exact taste of kulfi with rose flavour - they did not overdo it, which many outlets make a mistake. The Paan Kulfi was also quite good; however, it had the paan flavour more distinctly which toned down the kulfi feel. The syrup-based Jamun Kulfi was one of a kind; it gives you the real feel of fruit with no adulteration in it. However, hardcore Kulfi lovers might not like it; they should stick to the milk-based options. The experience at this Kulfi Wale was quite satisfactory, it is definitely not over-hyped and deserves a second visit.
