Kumbakonam Mess - A small shop located in Nanganallur (Next street to Anjeneyar Temple) serving authentic tiffin through out the day. Run by the typical brahmin family (usually the owner cum cashier is called as MAAMI- a grandlady) and all the servings have the typical Kumbakonam brahmin style preparation.Two to three north Indians guys were employed for the service.The menu includes idly, dosa varieties, upma, Idiyappam, chappathi, Vadas, coffee, tea etc etc.Moderate cost (neither cheap nor costly).Four to five table servings are available. During some festive days or ritual days onion and garlic less foods were prepared there to make convenient for Brahmins of localities.Overall rating is 5/5
