The Sons of the founder have run the restaurant into the ground. I miss the kumarakom 10 years back. Gravies tastes like hot water now. Absolutely killed the quality. Please Close shop and go, you have ruined the name. Food: 1

Recently went for dinner at Kumarakom, and it was an okay okay experience. They have a spacious dining area with limited car parking, which is convenient. The staff was attentive and served the food without much delay. We tried a variety of dishes, including beef, mutton, and fish. The kappa wasn’t great, but the puttu was really good. The fish curry felt more like a fish piece served in spicy water, which was disappointing. However, the beef and mutton were well-cooked and flavorful. The nool porotta was decent, but the appam, despite being freshly made, didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall a descent space to visit and try kerala food.
