First of all they are scamming the customers by including service charge in the bill without informing customers, which are against CCPA guidelines. When asked about the same the person at the counter told us it's our discretion whether to pay or not. Then he took the bill from us, deducted the service charge amount and told the bill. He did not deduct the gst on the service charge. And did not give us the bill. If u check the bill from other customers posted in the review u all can see the service charge added in it. We were served with parotta that was not freshly made. It was so dry. Also the fish pieces in the fish curry tasted stale while the gravy tasted so good. We had sadhya, appam, stew, fish curry, ghee rice, parotta, and beef roast. Appam, beef stew and ghee rice were awesome while sadhya tasted average. Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

My father and I recently dined at Kottayam The Restaurant and had a truly enjoyable experience. We served a delicious meal of Porrota, Appam, Egg roast, and their delightful Malabar chicken curry. The friendly waiter provided exceptional service. They attentively took care of us throughout our meal,
