I decided to try this place after seeing a few dishes listed on their menu online like bulgogi but when I got there, they had a completely different menu with the usual Korean stuff. My options at that point felt limited and felt Koreyaki has more options that way. It is inevitable that this review will be compared to Koreyaki because this place is a lot similar to Koreyaki so pls bear with me. I ordered Korean fried chicken, half & half with spicy and Yangayeom sauce and Peanut sauce Ramen because I’ve never tried that before. I didn’t want to try anything else since I’ve had them in some form elsewhere so skipped on things like Bao, Kimchi Noodles etc. The peanut sauce Ramen tasted very unique, in the sense, I’ve had thick peanut sauce in Thai cuisine but never in this soup broth like consistency. I liked it for it uniqueness. But options wise and quality wise, Koreyaki wins in my opinion. Their Yaki Udon Noodles is to die for. Coming to the Korean Fried chicken, it’s a crowd pleaser. who can hate on fried chicken ever? But since I took half and half I couldn’t differentiate between spicy and yangayeom sauce, both tasted very sweet so that was a miss for me. But from a fried chicken standpoint, it really hit the spot. Koreyaki k pops are always barely sauced. Overall I think Shokudo has the best Korean fried chicken (yangayeon) sauce. Where this place clearly wins over Koreyaki is for the Ambience. This place has a cafe like ambience, cozy and relaxed where as Koreyaki has a shady, neon, loud, Korean school girl vibes kind of ambience which is crap! Korean Fried chicken:- Shokudo - 5/5 Koriken - 4/5 Koreyaki - 3/5 Ramen:- Koriken - 4/5 Koreyaki - 5/5 Atmosphere/ Ambience:- Koriken - 5/5 Koreyaki - 1/5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fried Chicken, Spicy Chicken, Yangnyeom Korean Fried Chicken Vegetarian offerings: Not sure
