This place is a great spot to get a small yet authentic taste of Malaysian cuisine. Loved the Char Siu bao not many places come close in terms of flavor. For lunch, I’d recommend trying the Nasi Goreng or Nasi Lemak if you’re in the mood for rice, or the Curry Laksa if you prefer noodles. Also, definitely give the tiramisu a go, it was insanely good! Kopi, teh, laksa, satay, popiah, dim sum, and nasi lemak in Bengaluru? Yes, that isn’t a paradox but a reality indeed. Kopitiam Lah is a lovely spot for authentic Malaysian food and drinks, with pastries and desserts also available. The Nasi Lemak here is refined and fragrant, each element from the Pandan coconut rice to the fried peanuts and anchovies, are prepared well and tastes freshly cooked. Slices of crisp cucumber and a dollop of aromatic sambal brings the classic dish together. What stands out even more are the proteins - having tried the Ayam Goreng Berempah (fried chicken) and Buff Rendang, both are intensely flavourful, tender, well-spiced and truly delicious. These folks know what they are doing and deserve a visit from anyone who is craving for Malaysian comfort food, or that simple yet nostalgically soothing cup of kopi.
