Koolar & Co. in Matunga, Mumbai is a charming old-world Irani café that feels like stepping back in time. The ambience is warm and nostalgic with vintage furniture, checkered floors, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly brewed chai. Their bun maska with cutting chai is an absolute classic, and the kheema pav, bhurji, masala omlette is full of flavor. Service is friendly and quick, and prices are very reasonable for the quality. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed breakfast or an afternoon snack, and one of those rare places that still preserves Mumbai’s Irani café heritage. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Matunga.
