If you like the Indian cuisine, you should visit this restaurant. At Kolkata Q, guests can order nicely cooked kali. As most visitors affirm, the service is good.
The Durga pooja occassion to me is a complete Bengali culture rather than just food. Kolkata Q is one of the limited places in the city for a bengali experience. I am sure every bengali in any part of the world would miss the city of joy, the Hoogly, Kali, the lone tram in India and name anything bengali is nostalgic and food is not an exception.
The thali had the list.
1. Shukto
2. Muger dal
3. Aloo Bhaja
4. Poshto
5. Potol
6. Chatni
7. Papad
8. Mishti Doi
9. Pantua (excluded)
10. Rice
Pointed gourd , potol as called in bengali was something new to me. Aloo poshto was a potato recipe prepared with poppy seeds. Bhaja in bengali means fry and the aloo bhaja as in any cuisine is immortal. I tasted three desserts in total mishti doi and boondi with the plate and Pantua separately. It differs from gulab jamun mainly in ingredients such as suji and chana.
I felt the time was a little more to serve.
