Kini Cafeteria, located inside Kasturba Manipal Hospital in Udupi, falls short in almost every aspect of what one might expect from a hospital-based dining facility. The hygiene standards here are notably poor, with the preparation and serving areas visibly lacking in cleanliness. This is especially concerning given the location within a hospital, where one would anticipate a higher level of sanitation. The service at the cafeteria is equally disappointing. Staff are often unresponsive and seem uninterested in ensuring a pleasant experience for customers. Basic expectations, such as a decent cup of coffee or tea, are not met, with beverages often lacking in quality and flavor. Given these shortcomings, it’s no surprise that many visitors quickly seek alternatives. Fortunately, there are plenty of other dining options within a short 150-meter walk, located directly across the road from the hospital. These nearby establishments offer a much better experience in terms of food quality, hygiene, and service, making them a far superior choice. In summary, Kini Cafeteria does not live up to the standards one would expect, especially within a medical facility.
