This place offers a delivery line that connects to two different people - a manager and a kitchen staff! So one can get easily worried if the order has been taken by the right person or not. After a shaky first call, we called again to place an additional order when we felt assured after hearing a sane voice that this place is not run by simpletons!
However, we were mistaken when we saw our order land up at our doorstep after waiting for nearly 1 hour 20 mins! Let us tell you that even that happened after making 3 desperate follow up calls to the restaurant and listening to the owner / manager Talib trying to pacify us by offering us half off on our food! We had reached beyond the point of any return as our stomachs had cringed and grumbled in hunger for that long!
They claimed to run behind schedule & had to send a kitchen staff to deliver the Order! Seriously? A kitchen staff?!
Now coming to the quality of the food - the Pesto Veggie Panini was not at all what I was expecting! It was definitely cold by the time it had reached due to the long delay but what was more appalling to see was that the flavour of pesto was missing! The sauce was not fresh & appeared in dark green colour as though it was made hours ago! Usually one would imagine the flavours of pesto overpowering in a sandwich but this one was ruled by a slice of cheese slapped inside with the veggies!
The order of a Meal titled Grilled Chicken with Pepper Sauce was also strictly average. The chicken was too dry! The quantity of veggies given on the side were decent but that was only because we asked them to replace the mashed potatoes which were to be given as the 2nd side! The only saving grace for this dish was the pepper sauce! It tasted reasonably good. Was light and flowy and not excess on corn flour that is seen at most places.
We were relieved that we didn't have to pay for our order coz believe us if we had to (even at half the price), we would have severely regretted ever considering this place!
We keep saying this repeatedly that if a new place this small has to ever see itself survive and the owners are in it for the long haul.... They have ought to up their service & food quality game! No cute delivery bags or fancy boxes or cutlery packaging is going to do the trick!
