Has anybody come to Amritsar and been told not to come to Kesar Da Dhaba? Whosoever comes to Amritsar is told a small list of must-try restaurants and I’m pretty sure Kesar Da Dhaba is on all of them. One of the oldest and most famous restaurants in old town Amritsar, the place is famous for its dal fry and palak paneer which is, amongst other dishes, on their thali. And it did not disappoint! I walked through the narrow lanes of old-town Amritsar expecting a roadside Dhaba but was pleasantly surprised when I came upon the outdoor facade of Kesar Da Dhaba. The place was very modern and very hygienic. Though a bit small, expect to be sharing tables with other people. I ordered the thali and opted for one tandoori aloo kulcha and one regular tandoori roti instead of two tandoori rotis and they kindly agreed. The food was lip-smackingly delicious. The palak paneer was yum! So were the chole. It also came with boondi raita. The star of the show was definitely the dal. It was to die for! Absolutely delicious. It sure did live up to the hype. And also surprisingly quite reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

Very limited menu..Staff was very rude..Food was not good at all.. worst experience..
