I finally made it to the legendary Kesar Da Dhaba and it completely lived up to the hype! If you love authentic, soul-satisfying Punjabi food, this place will steal your heart. The food is simply outstanding. We went straight for the Veg Thali and it was pure bliss on a plate – Palak Paneer, rich and buttery Dal Makhani, perfectly spiced Chole, and cooling Raita, accompanied by lachcha parantha.Every single item was cooked to perfection, with that unmistakable home-style flavor you rarely find these days. We also ordered Kadi Chawal and Aloo Parantha on the side, and both were exceptional. The kadi was tangy and light, and the aloo parantha was crisp, fluffy, and stuffed generously Service was surprisingly quick and warm. The staff is attentive without hovering, and our food arrived piping hot within minutes. Wait time to get a table was barely 5 minutes – a pleasant surprise for such a popular spot. Seating is comfortable and well-organized (much better than many old-school dhabas). They have proper tables and chairs and everything felt spacious enough. Cleanliness and hygiene are impressive too – tables were wiped down promptly, and the kitchen area (visible from outside) was tidy too Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. With good service and proper seating, it feels like excellent value for money. The only downside (and it’s a small one) is the location. It’s tucked away on a narrow, congested road in the last 100-200 meters can be a bit tricky to navigate, especially if you’re driving. Parking is a challenge too, so coming by cab or two-wheeler is wiser. But honestly, once you taste the food, you’ll forget the little adventure it took to get there. Kesar Da Dhaba is now firmly on my “must-visit again and again” list. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Punjabi vegetarian fare!
