I visited Karim’s during my trip to Delhi and had a memorable experience. The hotel is located inside a small gully off the main street, so it’s a bit tricky to find. It’s not a large hotel, and the cleanliness could be better, but despite that, it’s quite popular among both locals and foreigners. The menu is extensive, and the service is fast, with table delivery being efficient. If you're visiting Delhi from out of town, it’s definitely worth a try, but do note that the location requires some effort to get to. You can either take the metro or a cab to a nearby point, then walk about 10 minutes or take an electric tuk-tuk to reach Jama Masjid. From there, it’s just a 2-minute walk down a busy street filled with restaurants. The walk can be a bit hectic, especially if it's crowded. One thing to keep in mind is that this place can get very busy, but we were lucky to visit on a weekday evening after 9 PM and got seated immediately. The seating options are spread across four areas, and the atmosphere, though bustling, is vibrant. Now, the food – it was absolutely delicious! The taste remains just as good as I remember from 20 years ago. I’ve tried other Karim’s locations around Delhi NCR, but nothing beats the experience here. The mutton nihari was incredibly tender, the butter naan was both fluffy and crispy, and the mutton biryani was packed with flavor. Even the chicken tandoori was impressive. If you’re not familiar with the area, just walk straight until you reach Jama Masjid, turn left, and follow the signs to Karim’s. The small gully will lead you right to the restaurant, where you’ll likely find a crowd waiting to be seated. Overall, it’s a great spot to experience authentic Mughlai cuisine, especially if you’re a first-time visitor to Delhi. Despite the busy location and some challenges with cleanliness, the food makes it all worth it! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
