If you like Afghan and Chinese cuisines, you should visit this restaurant. Visit KARIMS - Salt Lake (Original From Jama Masjid Delhi 6) for a break and try good chicken roti, tandoori kebabs and chicken skewers. Here you can drink great lemonade.

Karim's is known to be different from restaurants serving Mughlai cuisine and I had an experience of that during Ramzan. We had Mutton Haleem from this outlet. Must say this was the best Haleem I had in Kolkata. This was similar to Dal Gosht type of Haleem, not the Hyderabadi thick paste of meat and lentils, but the consistency, taste and richness beat all other restaurants of Kolkata. The flavor was a killer and the lentils and cereals were such beautifully blended with mutton. The mutton was extremely soft and soaked in flavor. For a Bengali it's perfect with rice and not to hide, I actually had it with plain rice. The next in our menu was Mutton Nihari, the winter delight, but we got it here. It's told that Nihari protects against common ailments. I don't find any exaggeration in that. The gravy was divine, rich and flavorful, but so soothing to palate. Mutton pieces were absolutely tender and juicy. The whole preparation was in perfect harmony. Karim's did not disappoint, at all. Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
