In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Lodi Gardens, stop by this restaurant. If you never turned out to taste Mughlai cuisine, get your chance at Karims Food Plaza. That's a nice idea to order perfectly cooked seekh kebabs, haleem and chicken roti. From the visitors' point of view, kulfi is tasty here. It's time to degustate great lemonade.

So mostly I loved it and it was one of the most beautiful places to get the seekh kebab and even though I had had enough sweet I really wanted fanta. Although you find this named as Karims Food Plaza, the nameplate of the restaurant at the India Islamic Cultural Centre says "Dilli Dastarkhwan". The place is however managed by Karims. The bill says so!! Reaching there. Go to the India Islamic Cultural Centre and you'll find the restaurant there. The entry is from the rear at Gate No. 5. The parking lot is huge, but finding a parking may not be always easy. In fact, the parking is right next to Alliance Francaise. The food was superlative. We tried the Mutton Nahari (620/-) which was good. The Hyderabadi Haleem (650/-) was execptional and we had two helpings. The seekh kebab 4 pc (340/-) was soft and succulent. The mutton biryani (560/-) was subtle with some good pieces thrown in. Right mix of flavours and cooking. The tandoori rotis (30/-) were also rightly done. The service was quick and helpful. The ambience is understated and good. The seating is comfortable and cozy. Would highly recommend this place, if you like Mughlai cuisine. Went for a repeat visit, and wasn't disappointed. Tried the Halim and also the famed burra kababs, which is grilled Mutton. I personally did not like it though, as it was too dry and charred for my liking.
