If you're heading into Lonavala and looking for the perfect breakfast spot, Kamats is a place you shouldn’t miss. Located right on the highway, this restaurant is famous for its South Indian breakfast, and it totally lives up to the hype. We tried their Mysore Masala Dosa, Rava Dosa, and Sabudana Vada — all of which were absolutely delicious and up to the mark. The flavors were authentic, and everything was served fresh and hot. Their filter coffee is a must-try too — rich, aromatic, and the perfect companion to a hearty South Indian meal. The restaurant is well-maintained with a clean and comfortable seating area. The staff was polite, attentive, and quick, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Prices are quite reasonable, which makes it great for families and travelers. Quick Tip: Although it's located on the highway, the entrance is a bit hidden behind a pillar, so make sure to use Google Maps to avoid missing the turn. I recently visited Kamats Hotel in Khandala, and I was really disappointed. Even though it has a lot of ratings, my experience was not good at all. First, the owner was very rude. It felt like they didn't care about the customers. The service was super slow; we waited a long time for our food. When it finally arrived, the food quality was bad. It didn’t taste fresh, and I expected much better for the price we paid. The prices are way too high for what you get. Overall, I would not recommend Kamats Hotel. There are much better places to eat in Khandala. I suggest checking out Elite Restaurant instead which is right opposite, it's 100 times better! Service: 1
