Kamat Restaurant in Murudeshwar is usually overcrowded, not because the food is outstanding, but due to the limited number of restaurants available in this locality. Because of the heavy crowd, the restaurant is unable to serve customers efficiently. During my visit, many items from the menu were not available, which was disappointing. The food quality also did not meet my expectations and tasted bland. Service was another major issue. The waiters were rude, not attentive, and did not listen to customers properly. We had to ask multiple times for basic items like water, glasses, and spoons. These were provided only after we raised our voices, which is unacceptable. If you are extremely hungry and want quick service, it is better to order South Indian items like dosa, as they are served relatively fast. For other dishes, be prepared for long waiting times. Overall, this restaurant seems busy mainly due to a lack of better alternatives in Murudeshwar. There is significant room for improvement in food quality, menu availability, and customer service.
