We stopped at Sri Kumki Restaurant during our bike road trip to Munnar for lunch. We were a group of 30 members and had pre-booked. The welcome drink — fresh lemon juice — was perfect after a long ride and made us feel truly welcomed. They had arranged custom-made food just for us. The location is very convenient, right next to the highway, with plenty of parking space inside and outside. The food was outstanding — hot, freshly made, and full of aroma. We enjoyed chicken biryani (served in large portions), chicken curry, chicken fry, sambar, rasam, curd, raita, papad, and sweets. Everything tasted delicious and satisfying. After lunch, many of us felt like taking a nap — that’s how good and filling the food was! The staff were excellent. They arranged a separate dining area for our group and served food on banana leaves, which gave it a traditional touch. The hospitality was warm and memorable — it honestly felt like attending a family wedding feast. We even got to celebrate Independence Day there, which made it extra special. Highly recommend this place for groups, riders, and anyone looking for authentic, tasty food with amazing hospitality.
