We had a party of 35. Everyone had a great time. The service was exceptional. We ordered our traditional thaali. We had foreigners in the group as well. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the feast. Satisfied. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Kokantee was a great experience! Absolutely recommended for local cuisine. It was my first visit in Arunachal and I discovered this place through Google Maps while searching for some good place to eat local cuisine. It was absolutely worth it and totally justified the highly positive reviews. I visited with my family and ordered the following: 1. Mithun - who knew what a Mithun was (basically an Ox) in our group before we entered Arunachal and this restaurant, but we definitely loved how they prepared the meat. It was spicy and the meat was soft and well prepared, chewy at only some times. 2. Pork Thali and Chicken Thali - both were splendidly made, identical except for the fact that one had a serving of pork curry while the other had a serving of chicken curry, both curries being made with bamboo shoot. The bamboo shoot may not be the first choice for everyone, especially for those who have never tried it, due to its peculiar smell, but I personally loved it as it gives a different taste to the food. The rice served was also local, and the thali came with various side dishes and a local chutney. 3. Kimbap (sushi) - ordered the chicken sushi and it was really good. It tasted fresh and that is a sign of a good sushi. The quantity was great (12 pieces), which is not common in most places and hence I appreciate the restaurant even more for this. 4. Cold coffee - absolutely amazing with just the right amount of sweetness (which was low) and a blend almost like that of a Dalgona Coffee. I loved also the vibe, which is very aesthetic and appealing, with touches of local culture (including the bamboo/ cane furniture). The staff was very polite, they helped us in selecting good food, even explaining what each dish was, very patiently to us new-comers. Hence, a 10/10 restaurant with a 10/10 vibe, food and service. Recommended! Service: Dine in Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Limited options for vegetarians in contrast to the non-veg options but nevertheless there are enough options for vegetarians too. Any thali can be ordered veg, and various dishes are available in veg options in the menu.
