Stepping out of my comfort zone never tasted this good! I wasn’t even planning to stop here today. I was just passing through Hiranandani Estate when I spotted KoGo. I’d seen a few Instagram stories about it before, but I always thought it was in Vasant Vihar. Turns out, they’ve just opened a branch here. Now, I’ll be honest, I’m a Paneer Tikka Masala kind of person. Familiar, predictable, safe. But my company is crazy about sushi and Korean food, so I thought, why not try something new and see if it’s worth recommending? I stepped in and instantly realised this menu was not going to make my life easy. Whole Moz Dog, Crunchy Avocado Sushi, Veg Miso Ramen, Lotus Biscoff Boba Tea.. nothing I’d ever ordered before. I stared at the menu for a while, feeling like I was studying for an exam I didn’t know I’d signed up for. But that’s when the magic happened. At the counter was Tushar, an absolute gem of a person. He didn’t just take my order. He walked me through the menu like a guide taking you on a food journey. He explained what went into each dish, when it would be a good choice, and even gave his personal favourites. No rush, no pressure just genuine conversation and hospitality. You can’t fake that kind of warmth. When the food arrived, I knew I’d made the right choice. The sushi could be a tad bigger and a touch tastier, sure but everything else hit the mark. The Moz Dog was fun, the ramen was comforting, and the boba tea? Dessert in a cup. And the best part, they’ve got little games around for you to enjoy while you wait. I’ve eaten at other places serving similar food like Kuai Kitchen , Kuuraku in Bandra and Kogo doesn’t just compete, it holds its own without burning a hole in your pocket. Today, I walked in expecting just a meal. I walked out with a story of a new branch, a helpful stranger named Tushar, and a reminder that sometimes the best experiences happen when you step away from the familiar. It’s refreshing to find a place that gives as much thought and creativity to their veg menu as they do to the non-veg dishes.
