I was expecting it to be better when it comes to taste and hygiene . The restaurant offers different cuisines but we choose to order Asian cuisine, the food was average. The vibe was classy but need a bit of more maintenance.I will say good for one time experience or can go on weekends to enjoy evening events . It was July 27, 2025, and we decided to try KOCA restaurant on Golf Course Road in Gurgaon for lunch. We arrived around 1:15 PM, eager to enjoy a good meal. A Shaky Start with Seating As the first guests, we expected a smooth seating process. To our surprise, all the standard dining tables had "PROMISED" placards on them. We were directed towards high-top tables or couches, neither of which we preferred. The staff insisted these tables were booked, which felt odd given the restaurant was entirely empty. It was only when we expressed our intent to leave and find another restaurant that a proper dining table was suddenly made available. This was quite disappointing; a "first come, first served" approach would have been far more appropriate, especially when several tables remained unoccupied even by the time we finished our lunch. Unwelcome Guests: Houseflies Throughout our meal, we were unfortunately accompanied by a few persistent houseflies. While there was a half-hearted attempt by the staff to shoo them away, they remained our constant companions, which was certainly not ideal for a pleasant dining experience. Old-School Etiquette Ignored Being from the "old school," we appreciate traditional dining etiquette, particularly regarding plate clearing. In our view, plates from a course should only be cleared once all diners at the table have finished. However, at KOCA, this wasn't the case. Plates for three of us were cleared while the fourth person was still eating, leading to an awkward moment where they felt compelled to apologize for their slower pace. This struck us as a clear sign of inadequate staff training and a breach of basic dining manners. Final Thoughts While the food itself received mixed reviews from our group (some liked it, some didn't, so we'll charitably say it was "okay to good"), the other aspects of our visit left much to be desired. From the initial seating hassle and the unwelcome presence of flies to the noticeable lack of proper service etiquette, our overall experience at KOCA was, regrettably, below average. There’s definitely room for KOCA to improve its customer service and staff training. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
