I recently visited Jothi Mess on Coimbatore Road, Pollachi, and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered an egg kothu parota, and when I finished my meal, the cashier told me the total was ₹100. Since I was wearing a dhoti without pockets, I informed him that I would quickly retrieve the cash from my scooter, which was parked just 20 meters away. I returned, paid the amount, and clearly stated it was for my meal. However, when I visited the restaurant again after two days, the same cashier accused me of not having paid for my previous meal. This accusation was made publicly in front of other customers, causing me significant embarrassment. What shocked me the most was that they made this baseless claim without any evidence. I had paid in full, yet they insisted I hadn't. I asked them to check the CCTV footage to verify my payment, but they refused to do so immediately. Instead of addressing my reasonable request, they provided vague responses and dismissed my concerns. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their customer service. Additionally, I noticed that the restaurant does not provide proper bills or display product rates in menu, which raises concerns about transparency and consumer rights. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dining here, as the experience can be quite unsettling.
