We visited on a Sunday night and had to wait for 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad. However, the parking lot was full, which was a bit inconvenient. Once inside, we were impressed with the ambiance - it was great! The service was also good, and our server was attentive. We ordered a few dishes, and the Malaikotte Valiban chicken curry was a standout - it was delicious! The Masala Shawai was also good, but the chicken could have been softer. Unfortunately, the chicken in the chicken biryani was also a bit tough. On the other hand, their juices were excellent, especially the Chikku Shake! We went for lunch to this outfit today and we had the bitter most experience ever. Once our lunch was finished (it took 30 minutes to serve lunch), I went to wash my hands. By the time u was back washing my hands an additional table was added to our table to make it an eight seater table. My wife was still at bath room washing her hands. Few of the new guests had already occupied seats. I still sat on my table and paid my bill at service table. As I found more people trying to occupy table, out of politeness, I stood up. By the time my wife was back the whole table was occupied and she had difficulty in retrieving her possessions left on the table. This was utterly distasteful, as guests who just ate food should have been allowed to vacate their table, before new guests were invited. Very poor non courteous behaviour. Would think twice before going there again. An other point, it took more than 10 minutes to get my car out of the parking lot as the car parked behind mine had to be moved out by a valet. Review for Josettan's Cinema Company Restaurant and Caterers Location: Peringavu, near Famous Madurai Vegetarian RestaurantI tried a few dishes here recently—Josettan's Kalyana Biriyani, Masala Shawaya, Chikku Shake, Malaikotai Valiban Chicken Curry, along with chapathi and porotta. The biriyani was tasty, though it comes with an egg, I felt the portion size could’ve been more generous. The masala shawaya was average, nothing standout. The chikku shake, however, was a highlight—absolutely amazing! The Malaikotai Valiban chicken curry had a unique flavor, different from typical chicken curries, and it was decent enough.Parking is limited, but the assistants are helpful and make it manageable. Overall, a mixed experience—worth a visit for the shake and biriyani if you’re in the area!
