This is a small family cafe and restaurant just down from the palace and fort, so a great stop off for one of their really excellent lassies. Dont let the fact that's in the family home put you off, as it does really nice food. We booked dinner (thali) which was great and went back for lunch another day (full lunch). This was also very good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

We met Jay in Bundi in the most unexpected and lovely way. While we were walking around town, he greeted us with so much enthusiasm and warmth, inviting us to have a lassi at his café. We decided to follow his invitation — and it turned out to be such a wonderful surprise. Once we stepped inside, we realized it wasn’t just a café. It felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. His house is lovely, and his family is incredibly kind and warm. We loved the energy and the hospitality so much that we decided to come back the next day for dinner. They prepared a traditional thali for us — several small dishes served together — and everything was delicious. The eggplant was amazing, the dal was comforting and full of flavor, and there were some crispy little fritters that we absolutely loved. Jay told us the food had been cooking for hours, and you could really taste the care in every dish. What touched us the most was the way they received us. They even decorated the table with flower petals to create a romantic atmosphere for our dinner. It was such a thoughtful and beautiful gesture. Jay’s sister also did henna on my hand and arm, and it turned out beautifully. It made the whole experience even more special. If you happen to meet Jay in Bundi and he invites you for a lassi, don’t hesitate — say yes. You won’t just visit a café. You’ll experience true hospitality and leave with a memory you won’t forget.
