During our recent visit to Delhi, we had the opportunity to go at Jantar Mantar Food Point, a popular eatery near the famous Jantar Mantar. They offers a mix of North and South Indian dishes, and we tried a variety of items from their menu. We started with Masala Dosa, Idli, and Uttapam. The dosa was crispy, stuffed with a well-seasoned potato filling, and served with coconut chutney and sambar. The idlis were soft and fluffy, and the uttapam was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of vegetables. The sambar had a balanced tangy and spicy flavor, making the South Indian meal satisfying. For the main course, we ordered Rajma Chawal and Paneer Thali. The rajma was well-cooked, creamy, and had a homely taste, pairing well with the steamed rice. The Paneer Thali came with paneer curry, dal, roti, rice, and salad. The paneer was soft, and the gravy had a rich, mildly spiced flavor. The thali was fulfilling and good value for money. Moving on to desserts, we indulged in Gajar Halwa, Gulab Jamun, and Kulfi Falooda. The Gajar Halwa was delicious, with the right amount of sweetness and ghee. The Gulab Jamun was soft and soaked in flavorful syrup. The Kulfi Falooda was the highlight—creamy kulfi topped with falooda and rose syrup, making it a refreshing end to our meal. Overall, Jantar Mantar Food Point impressed us with its quality food, reasonable prices, and quick service. If you’re near Jantar Mantar and craving tasty North and South Indian dishes, this place is worth a visit.
