I recently visited Jalaram Khaman House and taken parcel of their Khaman, Patties, and Khandvi. While the flavors had potential, the excessive use of oil completely overpowered the experience. The Khaman was soft and had a nice flavor, but it was drenched in oil, making it quite heavy to eat. The Khandvi was much thicker than usual — it lost that delicate, melt-in-the-mouth texture one expects, and again, it was soaked in oil. The Patties were bulky, with an unusually thick outer layer and, unsurprisingly, too much oil. Overall, it felt like precision and balance were missing in every dish. What could have been a light, flavorful snack turned into an oily affair. A little more attention to preparation and oil control would make a huge difference. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
