I recently purchased Ghevar from Jain Sweets, a shop known for its reputation of delivering fresh and delicious sweets. Unfortunately, my experience this time was quite disappointing. The Ghevar was nearly inedible. The base was extremely hard—more like biting into a suzi rusk than a traditional Ghevar. The upper layer of khoya was overwhelmingly sweet, with an excess of sugar that masked any real flavor. It felt like the sweet had been prepared weeks ago, possibly in bulk for a festival, and stored for far too long. While Jain Sweets is a well-known name and often praised for quality, this particular experience has made me question their consistency—especially during the festive season. The Ghevar tasted like a sugar-soaked rusk, lacking the freshness and texture one would expect from a premium sweet shop. Verdict: Disappointing. Based on this experience, I would be cautious about trusting the quality of their sweets during high-demand periods.
