Amazing view from the hotel, very courteous staff, very tasty food, helpful people, always smile on their faces. They will suggest you where to visit how to visit everything. I would recommend everyone to visit this especially if you want to experience luxury in a budget. Special mention to Awanisha and team took care of us really well! Service: 5

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The staff is extremely courteous. We could stay here only for a day but really wish we could stay for longer! The rooms are so beautiful, we stayed at the twin wooden rooms that were available coz we went with two kids and my FIL. Ordered lunch in the room, the food was delicious too! Never loved veg food so much! Had the complimentary high tea which was perfect in taste as well ... Pretty close to the main market, we just walked down for 10 mins . We had to leave early next morning and from the balcony we gotta beautiful view of the snow capped Kanchenjunga Mountains.. that really made our day!! Such a beautiful dreamy resort. Would surely choose to stay at Istana again!

Our recent family stay at Hotel Istana Resort in Darjeeling was nothing short of incredible. Not only were we upgraded to a room with the most breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga, but the hospitality we received made the experience truly unforgettable. The staff at Hotel Istana Resort was absolutely amazing—a special shout-out to Bisesh Subba, Wangdi, Arynth, Suraj, Prasant, Pratham, Rokesh, Degendra, Jordan, Priyanka, and Awanisha. Each one of them was so friendly and courteous and went out of their way to make sure our family had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their warm smiles and constant attention to detail really made us feel at home. The food was another highlight – every meal was delicious, with a perfect balance of local flavors and a variety of dishes that kept everyone happy, including the kids. Between the stunning views, the delicious food, and the incredible team of staff, Hotel Istana Resort gave us a family vacation we will always remember.
