I visited the Irani Cafe for breakfast. While the outdoor seating looked nice, we opted to sit indoors as there was only one fan and it was quite hot. The chairs were uncomfortable, but it didn’t matter much because the food was simple yet delicious, and the server was attentive, checking on us twice. We started with a cheese masala omelet, which I personally enjoyed as it was loaded with cheese and vegetables, served with buttered bread toast. Next, we tried the akuri (Irani Bhurji), which was good but not exceptional. The vegetable cheese cutlet, however, was disappointing—it lacked a cheesy flavor and had an overpowering taste of gram flour, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. Thankfully, the Irani chai and broon maska helped neutralize it. To wrap up, we had chili cheese toast and requested green chilies to be added, which the server kindly accommodated. We also asked for extra butter on the broon and kadak (strong) chai, and the server ensured everything was perfect. I truly appreciated the excellent service. Its my very first time trying an Irani Cafe at Kalyani nagar. Love their double decker chicken and mutton sandwich. Tea and bum maska and Broon maska, both are delectable.
